  Program Overview

WebText Reader allows persons with visual impairment, reading or learning difficulties to instantly access vital information on the Internet.

With just a few keystrokes, WebText Reader can access the latest news from over 80 news, business, sport, and entertainment categories. You can read over 150 columnists presenting their opinions, advice, and humor. Look up stock quotes, telephone listings, and TV listings. Get your local weather forecast and conditions. Plus access online dictionaries, encyclopedias, glossaries, and search online databases of jokes, movies, television shows, and much more instantly.

Here's how it works! You select the information you want from a menu, using your keyboard. WebText Reader then visits top rated web sites on the Internet and retrieves the information. In just seconds, the requested information is displayed on screen and is read out loud to you, without having to learn any complex commands.

Using the keyboard, you control how WebText Reader reads; letter by letter, word by word, sentence by sentence, paragraph by paragraph, or the entire page, it's your choice.

With WebText Reader you will never have to deal with distracting pop-up windows, broken links, Flash files, or Java errors again. Your days of jumping through hoops just to find the web content are over. WebText Reader goes straight for the web content and reads it. All you do is sit back and relax as WebText Reader reads the information you requested.

This friendly, yet powerful program is great for beginning and advanced computer users of all ages. It prompts you through the entire program, so you will never get lost. If you every need to know how to do something, just press the F1 key on your keyboard, to activate WebText Readers context sensitive help system to guide you through.
